Third Book Just Released on www.lulu.com search "Love Lush"!

This project is comprised of writings from after my last book "Philosopher Stoned – Recovered" in 2009 through separation and divorce, and into a tumultuous relationship with another artist, finally settling down back home in the Sierra foothills with family.  This book, "Love Lush", is by far my best writing, yet, which is satisfying.  It feels like "real" poetry.  However, my first book "Philosopher Stoned – Incarcerated" is by far the most relevant, despite it's obscurities.

 

During the writing of this book and transitions in relationships I began to believe that art was too self absorbed and that the only real art is the way we live and the way we love.  This stands true for me.  However, I am compelled to share sounds and signs form time to time.  Creativity has become me.  Art is something I can hold on to no matter how hard life gets, there is always some song, some picture, some painting, some image that relates to me in the most unique of emotional moments.

Music and Writing

Writing and music are my main creative mediums at this time.  I have painted, and photographed and look to return to those.  The way we live is our truest form of art. That is what I look to explore and share, consciously, and unconsciously.  

Thought, the mind, is symbolic of reality.  Reality, in essence is what we perceive in THIS moment, right here, now.

Philosophy and Poetry

Philosophy and poetry, for me, ultimately search for the truth, universal.  I am a student of both, and combine the two in my writings.  However, on this site, I plan to extend my thoughts into prose and develop some of my ideas more academically. Book Review: (Love Lush)

 

Imagine reading a contemporary poet who doesn't seek to appease you by constructing a body of work full of superlatives or flowery adornments. Imagine reading a distinctly, and refreshingly disturbing, philosophical intellectual collection of poems at its most raw and unrefined, within its disquieted self, while also being seductive with a surprisingly sharp contrast of emotional insight.

Tavius Dyer is such a writer, spoken word artist, philosopher and musician who consistently reinvents his craft, as himself, almost as if they are one. He wears new ideas that rave with emotions, only to shred them for the free floating experience reframed by the moment. For to be inside each moment as it is defines this writer, Tavius Dyer.  The moment as an exploration is where he takes the reader into a long descent of the soul on the never ending quest to reveal himself, and expose the audience at the center of  experience. All at once the reader may find themselves feeling disjointed, disjunctive, distinctive and disowned but fully present none the less, and completely relevant, therefore discovered in each fragment.

But don't look for him to appeal to the mainstream need for art or aesthetics. The art of it, for him, is in the raw exposure of a cracked heart and a split mind. His refuge is in the passionate and obsessive, as much as it is in the spiritual and the existentialist experience.

If you are bold, brave and ready to venture beyond the comfortable refuge of accepted art forms, then you may be ready for the avant-garde of surprising contrasts within Dyer's creative editorials. This is a personal journey via often abstract poetic forms.  If you want to indulge in the most intimate sense of madness, as well as the pure aspects of Divine love, then turn the page and begin the discovery of Dyer's naked soul.
